In a move that signals a significant shift in the continent’s digital landscape, Liquid C2, a business of Cassava Technologies, has launched Africa’s first Partner Experience Centre powered by Google Cloud. Based in Johannesburg, South Africa, this state-of-the-art facility is designed to move beyond traditional technology distribution, offering an immersive environment where partners and businesses can architect, test, and deploy advanced cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions.
The centre arrives at a critical juncture for African enterprise. While interest in AI is high, adoption is often slowed by infrastructure constraints, skills gaps, and the sheer complexity of integration. By providing direct access to enterprise grade technologies including Gemini Enterprise and a dedicated “Gemini Playspace” for rapid experimentation, the facility allows organizations to prototype solutions in real time before scaling them.
Ziaad Suleman, CEO of South Africa and Botswana at Cassava Technologies, noted that the centre creates a “practical environment” to deliver real business value. By combining Google’s global AI capabilities with Liquid’s extensive Pan-African fibre network and local expertise, the initiative seeks to democratize access to the “digital rails” necessary for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
This launch represents a pivotal milestone in positioning Africa not just as a consumer of global technology, but as a hub for locally relevant innovation. As businesses and public-sector stakeholders begin to co-create solutions within this ecosystem, the Experience Centre stands as a testament to the “density of power” driving Africa’s digital future.
